Our Story

Sonic Bloom Studios began as a dream in the heart of Austin's burgeoning music scene. Founded in 2015 by Jake Riley and Maya Hernandez, two passionate audio engineers with a shared vision, the studio was conceived as a haven for artists seeking a supportive and technically superior recording environment. Jake, a veteran of numerous recording sessions and live performances, brought a wealth of practical experience, while Maya, a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, contributed her academic knowledge and cutting-edge techniques.

Initially, Sonic Bloom Studios operated out of a small, repurposed warehouse in East Austin. Despite its humble beginnings, the studio quickly gained a reputation for its commitment to quality and its artist-first approach. Word of mouth spread rapidly, attracting a diverse range of musicians, from indie rock bands to country singers to electronic music producers. The studio's early success was fueled by its founders' unwavering dedication and their ability to create a relaxed and collaborative atmosphere where artists could truly thrive.

In 2018, Sonic Bloom Studios moved to its current location on Rainey Street, a vibrant and eclectic neighborhood known for its live music venues and creative energy. The new facility was designed from the ground up with acoustics in mind, featuring a spacious live room, a meticulously treated control room, and a comfortable lounge area. The move allowed the studio to expand its services, adding mastering and audio restoration to its repertoire. Today, Sonic Bloom Studios stands as a testament to the power of passion, hard work, and a genuine love for music. We're proud to be a part of the Austin music community and look forward to helping artists bring their sonic visions to life for many years to come. We've recorded gold albums, worked with famous artists, and most importantly, helped local bands find their sound.
